Chris Brown condemned for Smoking WEED on stage during his appearance in Ghana

In this photo, Chris Brown is clearly smoking weed on stage . This picture was taken during his concert in Ghana where he was reportedly paid close to $1million for.

The incident of the USA star smoking Indian hemp in public was made aware to the CEO of POS Foundation, Mr. Jonathan Osei-Wusu, via a formal complaint, on 6th March 2013 at the Ministries Police station. As an attempt to calm down the public and others officials, the Police assured they have commenced investigation on the allegation.

Archbishop Palmer-Buckle from the stated in Kumasi expressed his shock at the reckless behaviours and said the followings:

“very shocked that the so called Chris Brown dare to smoke Indian herb in public and so far I haven’t heard any of our law enforcement agencies talking about it as a total offence.”

The Minister of State and Member of Parliament for Wa Central Rashid Pelpuo also condemned Chris Brown's action during his appearance on MultiTV by saying such is disrespectful to the Ghanaian Law:

“This is appalling. It is unacceptable. In Ghana we have laws and one of the laws is to ban drugs be it marijuana, ganja, weed or whatever it is being called."

According to the Ghanaian law,  Section 5 of narcotic drugs Act, 1990 PNDCL 236, states that “a person shall not, without lawful authority or excuse, smoke, sniff, consume, inject into the body or otherwise administer a narcotic drug on the body of that person.”

Opinion:

Well knowing what the law is in Ghana, and the countless times individuals high in the government hierarchical chain have infringed many sections, I doubt this will be taken further. After all the desperate economic conditions of Ghana need international stars appearances. Nevertheless such behaviour should not be accepted and agreed with in our African environment; especially when the young generation looks up to these stars/celebrities.

So Chris Brown, here are some words for you..! Respect our public places and our crowd, act decently when in front of African youths. Africa is not a dump,  we have Laws and they must be obeyed by you ....!
