A 40-year old man named Kingsley Ndubisi has been arrested and charged to court for allegedly raping a 10-month old girl within a church vicinity in Lagos, State.
According to the policemen at Elemoro Division in Ibeju Lekki, Eti Osa, Lagos, the incident occurred at the True Tabernacle Church in Majek Farms, Abijo, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.
The suspect was arrested after the parents filed a complaint against him on March 14, 2013.
After Kingsley's arrest, he confessed to the crime during interrogation but pleaded not guilty to the charge.
After his attendance before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a 1-count charge of felony to wit, defilement of a minor, the Magistrate A.F. Adeeyo granted him N200,000 bail with 2 sureties.
The case has been adjourned until April 5, 2013, mean while Ndubisi has been remanded to Ikoyi Prison and will remain there until he fulfills his bailapplication.
