According to the Police Public Relations Officer statement: Ngozi Braide, the suspect’s wife reported the crime to the Ejigbo Police Division.
“The suspect’s wife, Margeret, alleged that she kept her granddaughter who is 15 months old with her nanny and when she returned home, she noticed that the baby was crying. Says Ngozi.
“On inspecting her body, she noticed blood stains at her private part. When she asked what happened, her seven-year-old daughter said it was her dad that did it."Says Ngozi.
she added;
"The daughter also alleged that he had raped her on numerous occasions. The children were later taken to Isolo General Hospital where it was confirmed that they had indeed been disvirgined.”
