Implications of plastic surgery: Cross River Governor's wife 'First Lady' Obioma Liyel Imoke is suffering from severe complications.

Last month, paradigmshiftng.com published a story sourced from the National Enquirer Magazine which revealed that the wife of the Cross River State Governor, Obioma Liyel Imoke is dying from complications arising from the tummy tuck surgery she did in India.

Members of the public were furious owing to the fact that our memory is enmershed in the corruption and wastage that surrounds such superfluous surgery from the wife of an elected public servant.
Cosmestic surgeries most especially Abdominoplasty popularly called tummytuck and its attendant consequences are not a new pheonomenom in our environment. Abdominoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to make the abdomen more firm. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall. This type of surgery is usually sought by patients with loose tissues after pregnancy or individuals that are over weight and have flabby body.

Recall that on 23rd October, 2005, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo died from complications arising from tummy tuck surgery in a Spanish hospital. The doctor involved in the surgery was later tried, found gulity and sentenced accordingly.

The wife of President Goodluck Jonathan had just returned from her surgeon in a German Hospital where she is rumoured to have undergone treatments for undisclosed ailments. While, it is rumoured on one hand that she was treated for food poisoning, others said she was treated for cancer and probably cosmetic surgery complications, but nobody save the president and few presidential aides knows exactly what took her to Germany for 53 days. This is somebody whose treatment was pegged on tax payers money, yet they don't think they owe the Nigerian Tax Payers' the right to know what was wrong with the First Lady. Save for the sharp ears of the media, the impression they wanted us to live with was that she went to Germany for holiday.
Similarly in February 2011, a Nigerian girl Claudia Aderotimi (20) died as a result of complications arising from butt enlargement injections in the United State. What is however surprising and grieves the heart is the fact that despite the needless death that occurs from such overseas shopping of frivolity, our so called big elites still finds pleasure in threading the dangerous path.
Nigerians are now used to being treated with contempt by the wife of those who they elect to serve them. Don't forget they get allocations to finance their activities, (whether legal or illegal) from tax payers' money. Members of the public were furious owing to the fact that our memory is enmershed in the corruption and wastage that surrounds such superfluous surgery from the wife of an elected public servant.

Women and men who have loose abdominal skin and fat that is concentrated in the abdomen can benefit from Abdominoplasty. Sometimes these conditions are inherited. In other instances, substantial weight loss may cause abdominal skin to become flaccid. Abdominoplasty also can tighten muscles that have been separated and weakened by pregnancy. The procedure may somewhat improve the appearance of stretch marks, especially those located below the navel.
