Our hearts goes to Viviane Ndour as she reportedly lost her mother Marie Fall who died today at l’hôpital Le Dantec in Senegal. Viviane is a dear friend to many not forgetting the CEA (Cameroon Entertainment Award) team who are wishing her well as she goes through this sorrowful times. Viviane Ndour (born Viviane Chidid) is a Senegalese pop singer who is the former sister-in-law of Youssou N'Dour. She is known by some as the "Queen of Mbalax. Viviane was born in Senegal in one of the coastal cities near the Atlantic Ocean. Her music combines traditional Senegalese mbalax music with elements of U.S. rap, R&B and Country Music. She released her first album in 1999 and formed a group called Le Jolof Band in 2001. Most of her songs are in either Wolof or English though a few are in French, the official language of Senegal. She is Muslim.
