After the publishing of video on various websites, late Saturday night, showing how the crowd took the law into their hands by lynching four naked men who were eventually set ablaze even though three of them went unconscious. These victims were identified as Lloyd, Tekena, Ugonna and Chidiaka and were said to be students of the University of Port Harcourt.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers state strongly opposed to such barbaric conduct, and has commenced diligent investigation into the matter, and stated that the video was forming part of the investigation.
No reasons should excuse such jungle justice leading to the dead of these the unfortunate victims....!!
