Forced Migration and displacement: not dealt with approprietly by governments around the world.

If you had to flee your home because of disaster or conflict, where would you go? Over 70 million forced migrants worldwide have had to face this question.  This year's World Disasters Report from the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is focused on forced migration.
This year's World Disasters Report is focused on forced migration. More than 70 million people are classified as forced migrants -- forced to flee their homes because of factors that include conflict, persecution, disasters and even development. Listen to the preview detail below..
This is not a new issue for the Red Cross Red Crescent. Around the world, many National Societies work with forced migrants, either as they flee to camps or cities, or when they arrive in new countries, seeking refuge and hope. As a Movement, we have also worked closely with governments to ensure that they treat migrants with respect and dignity, and to make sure that our volunteers can always reach migrants to provide them with the support they need.
