A South African cardinal has described paedophilia as an illness and not a crime in a media interview.


As a result of describing paedophilia as an illness and not a crime in a media interview, Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier  the Catholic Archbishop of Durban (who was one of the 115 cardinals who took part in the Vatican conclave that elected Pope Francis), on Monday issued an apology to victims of child abuse. Nigeria court has Ordered police to pay N5m to a priest



According to Inemesit Akpan-Nsoh, a reporter from the Nigeria Guardian, the UYO High Court in Akwa Ibom State has ordered the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to pay N5 million compensation to Rev. Francis Ubong, a priest of the Roman Catholic Church, following assault against him by a police official who is linked to the anti-kidnapping unit in the Akwa Ibom State command.

We are 100 years old: Nigeria’s Oldest Twin Sisters


Glory be to God Almighty....some things are worth giving thanks to God for. In a Country or  continent where the life span of women is barely averaging 60years old, here we are seeing  twins sisters biting the record as they both made it to their 100th Bday. 

Nigeria’s oldest twin sisters, Mrs Esther Taiwo Olukoya and Emily Kehinde Ogunde celebrated their100th birthday together in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Wednesday the 13th of March. 

The twin sisters who hailed from a wealthy family in Ijebu Ode were born on the 13th of March 1913.

Nigeria is ahead with the most Africa’s FDI of aprox $8.9bn


In January 2013, The minister of Trade and Investments, Olusengum Aganga, said N8.5 trillion FDIs are coming to Nigeria over the next 5 years as a direct consequences of the Federal Government that would attract investors to the country. This means its ongoing reform is growing in strength. 

In 2011, Nigeria was the leading investment destination in Africa after recording a foreign direct investment (FDI) of $8.9 billion, said Olusegun Aganga, Minister of Trade and Investment, at the ongoing FBN Capital Conference in Lagos. The $8.9 billion represented about 16 percent of Africa’s total FDI of $55 billion in 2011.
