KIBONEN NFI :🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲PEACE AND UNITY FOR CAMEROON :

Cameroon has been going through turbulences for over 4 years today! And as Kibonen emphasizes in her video! we are the ones to bring the peace and unity needed for Cameroon ! There is something that strikes me when you get to speak to people who have reached a certain level of success; humility ! Despite all the success and celebrity status, Kibonen Nfi still doesn’t forget where she comes from and doesn’t belittle anybody who approaches her.

MOTIVATION E1S5/ FAILURE : The formula for success? Double your rate of failure.

For any great achievement that every successful person has earned, they have had exponentially more failures. Failures are lessons of future successes, but many people don’t always see failure in a positive light.

MOTIVATION S1E6/ FAILURE AND HUMILITY: Acknowledge failure and making it matter by cultivating

If you examine the life of anyone who has achieved something extraordinary, chances are you'll find a story of failure somewhere along the way. While not all failures have a happy ending, most happy endings have a failure story. So, rather than viewing failure as an embarrassment, or shameful, or something to be endured, acknowledging failure and making it matter by cultivating humility can actually make your life better

MOTIVATION S1E7 - BLOCAGE MENTAL:

MOTIVATION S1E8 - PARENTING(Raising our boys to be feminists):

I wouldn't say raising a son to be feminists/gentleman is effortless, it's definitely not rocket science. Little things go a long way if you put them in place from the very beginning.

EMPOWERING REFLECTION S1E 4 : Personal responsibility is crucial for africans

We cannot go on living each day of our lives blaming the government for every problem and difficulty. While the government has a great responsibility in and for many of the national maladies and social problems besetting the country, we, the people must also accept our own shares of neglect, excess, and ineptitude.

Exclusive VIDEO Interview with Cameroon's Youngest Female Entrepreneur ETONDE ...

Africa should take advantage of its youth demographic dividend to push young entrepreneurs to contribute to the continent's economic transformation. This has been the subject on every political speech, the seductive magnet in election campaigns, and the chorus in many economic write-ups, but yet finance remains the biggest barrier to entry resulting to a large informal entrepreneurship at the bottom of the African economic pyramid. There is a lot on the WHY? but soo little on the HOW? In Cameroon, the youngest successful female entrepreneur Etonde Martin has made it her mission to see into these challenges and came up with solutions to reducing the barrier to entry. The EMPOWER SUCCESS IN AFRICA team caught up with her and we were delighted to have an exclusive in-depth interview with the brain behind SIPEC empire . Stay Empowered and Happy New Year 2018.

THE FIRST BLACK FEMALE NASCAR DRIVER

Tia Norfleet has an amazing story. As the first ever African American female to get behind the wheel of a NASCAR vehicle, she is blazing trails and burning up tracks. Norfleet says that her mother is a pastor, so she is a woman of God. She also says that she started off driving the family mini-van when she was just eight years old.

Tia Norfleet is the first and only African American female race care driver to be licenced with NASCAR….

From the New York Times:

“Ms. Norfleet is one of thousands of individuals who have purchased licenses in the Late Model Division of our sport,” NASCAR Vice President for Public Affairs and Multicultural Development Marcus Jadotte said in an e-mail. “I am uncomfortable with attempts Ms. Norfleet and her representatives have made to forgo the sport’s development process.”

Red flag!! Apparently, she may have lied about her identity.

Nascar officials said they were also concerned with questions about Norfleet’s legal record. Public records indicate that Tia Norfleet’s full name is Shauntia Latrice Norfleet, and that she has a criminal record in Virginia and Georgia. (No public records were found with the name Tia Norfleet.) According to her Web site, her hometown is Augusta, Ga.
Court records show that in 2005 and 2009, Norfleet was found guilty of assault and drug-related offenses.
Norfleet did not deny having a criminal record.
“People make mistakes in their life and move forward and make a better way,” she said in a telephone interview. “I think things that I’ve done, people make mistakes, as a child, as a teen, and basically, it’s things that you may not be proud of but you move forward and you help others. And they may be in the same situation and you can relate and they can relate to you, and you help them as much as possible.”

Meeet Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP; the talented painter who uses her gift to change the look of her community

Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP

Traced back to 16th century in Italy when itinerant artists would use their chalks to transform pavement into a makeshift canvas, street painting has retained its appeal through the centuries all around the globe. In Cameroon, this culture of fine works of street art has emerge amoung a group of passionate young painters who call themselves 'Hope Painters'; initiated and headed by Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP. My recent meeting with Honorine left me with a cut-throat impression of the deep sense of patriotism young Cameroonians have, especially in seing their infrastucture change for the better. Meet Horine and her parcours in using her talent as a painter to change the look of her local community.

Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP Was born February 3, 1985 at Ndoungué. She holds a BTS in industrial computing and she also trained as a 'customs declarant'. Honorine prefers to live her two passions which are: communication and painting. Honorine is a columnist in the TV show called "C'COMMENT? On est la !!! "On Canal2International, former model for CICAM loincloth fabric manufacturing company; She has also participated in nine exhibitions including one in Belgium and one devoted to Cameroon's Fiftieth Anniversaries of Independence and Reunification.

As mentioned early on above, Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP is the Initiator and head of the group of artist called, "Hope Painters" whoes mission aims at giving back, encourage and fuster hope for a better tomorrow,  as well as advocate work and perseverance among their local community. This motivation resulted in tgeir very first project; the painting of the tunnel junction Ndokoti Douala in April, 2015.

The main motivation in the initiation and realization of the Project 'Painting of TUNNEL Ndokoti' was to make the place beautiful and alive during the housing of people in times of traffic jams or rain, the second was to achieve every year, a project that will benefit the population of Cameroon! After the tunnel, Hope Painters envisage painting the entire city of Douala intersections: tunnel of Bonanjo, those of the airport, and major walls of Yaoundé city Cameroon; which will host future championships. As future plans, they also intend to rally and join other artists from other parts of Africa to amplify the progress of such future projects in the continent .!

The members Hope Painters are as follows: Honorine Ngountchoup, Duclo Tchaya James Koki Ndombo, Raoul Wansi, Madiba Elombo, Achile Valere Elouti Mikhail Nkenfack, Tchangou Gerome, Jean Mouaffo, Christian Beas (communicator) Martial Tchatchoua (communicator) and volunteers who have joined the group: Simon Moussi and Léonel Franck Fankam.

According to Honorine NGOUNTCHOUP “I do believe that the state of being lost in one’s creation is one of my favorite places to be. A fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives would go a long way in making the world the better place we so passionately dream of. she continues: “and I will do whatever it takes to rise above all circumstances and achieve success in this project so long as I stay dedicated to and passionate about what I do.”

Cameroonian Alain Nteff recieved The Queen’s Young Leader Award 2015

Meet Alain, alarmed by the high new born and pregnant women death rate in his community , he developed a mobile app to help alleviate this problem.

The Cameroonian entrepreneur is the co-founder of Gifted Mom, a mobile health platform that uses low-cost technology to help mothers and pregnant women access medical advice in out-of-the-way, rural communities.

Last September, Nteff was named the grand prize winner of the $25,000 Anzisha Prize, a pan-African award celebrating entrepreneurs aged 15-22 who've come up with innovative ways to solve problems in their communities, or have launched successful businesses in their areas.

His invention landed him an invitation to the World Economic Forum in Davos last year, where he was one of this year's Global Shapers, a group of 20 to 30-year-olds who are tipped for future leadership roles. He was also the youngest participant.

This year, Alain recieved The Queen’s Young Leader Award for his invention.  The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. Winners of this prestigious Award like Alain received a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK during which they will collect their Award from Her Majesty The Queen. With this support, Award winners are expected to continue and develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities

The seed for the Gifted Mom idea was planted in 2012 when Nteff, then a 20-year-old engineering student, visited a hospital in rural Cameroon where his friend Conrad Tankou was doing his medical practice. There he witnessed several mothers and newborns die from conditions that could have been predicted and managed with proper antenatal care. Nteff was deeply affected by what he saw, and together with Tankou started thinking of ways in which they could use their skills to tackle the issue of maternal and infant mortality.

Dear readers, it's been a while since I last posted or upgraded my blog, I sincerely appologise for this. Nevertheless, you all will be happy with the emmense blessings of GOD in my life (letting the cat out of the bag right….!! :-) ***.

On the 14th of February 2015 I, Nadine M. Tonguem officially became Nadine M Tchoumtchoua. My Husband Serge Olivier Tchumtchoua is my rock and I love him dearly. With every second that goes by, his love for me is prove I am not married to a man but rather a HUSBAND. All these I say thank you to the Almighty God For this special gift this year.

It is now a little over two months since our civil wedding and over three months since our traditional wedding; with the ink barely dry on our marriage certificate, it's incredible to witness how much our lives have changed and we still have a lifetime of memories to make. However, here's what we've learned so far:

Cameroon's first blogging forum and networking event

Blogging has entered a realm of its own in Cameroon, from fad to industry. Cameroonians are entering the blogosphere daily, thousands every day from home and abroad. I’ve been blogging for over 5years and had no clue I was doing it. It was called “online journaling” and some called it “web diaries” or “blithering idiots writing on the Internet”. I tried not to blither, but I just did what I knew and now am known for what I did and continue to do: blog. Today, the evolution of this culture in Cameroon has led to the creation of the very first blogging event forum: BBCL, which took place December 30th 2014 at Le Meridien Bonanjo, Douala city center, Cameroon.

BBCL stands for Bold and Beautiful Camer Ladies. Started by a group of Cameroonian domestic and diaspora bloggers who decided to bridge the gap between bloggers, entrepreneurs and businesses.

Cameroon now has a call center for abused women in our society: Just call 243 425 668.

According to UN Women West and Central Africa article (December 04, 2014), During the 16 Days Campaign to end violence against women in Cameroon, representative of the International Telecommunications Union (IUT) Mr. Jean Jacques Massima said: gender-based violence (GBV) can be effectively eliminated in Cameroon if ICT tools are adequately exploited for the benefit of women and girls. “The use of ICTs must respect professional and ethical standards,” Mr Massima told to hundreds of participants at a UN Women Cameroon forum styled “Gender Café 6” in Douala, Cameroon’s economic capital. The event that held under the theme “The Role of ICT in preventing GBV in Cameroon” was also graced by the official opening of a GBV Call Center for survivors in the Littoral region.

Across the globe, millions of people were dressed in orange in November entring December; to symbolise a world free from violence against women and girls. Revisiting the official statement of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, UN Women Representative and Country Director Mrs Rachelle Mian Djangone said women and girls experience violence in all countries and neighbourhoods but these crimes often remain unreported and hidden. “We must end the silence. That is why this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is centred on a grassroots effort to raise awareness called Orange Your Neighbourhood,” according to Mr. Ban’s statement.

In a bid to mitigate risks faced by women in Cameroon, UN Women Cameroon has established a toll-free Call Center in the Littoral, one of the country’s most vulnerable regions to gender-based violence. The UN entity has also rolled out several strategies to end violence against women including a Gender Café and the training of journalists.

Is Tunisia ready to accept a female president? ..!!

Is Tunisia ready for a female President: well time will tell…! Kalthoum Kannou, Tunisia’s first female presidential candidate was among only three women to dare to practice their constitutional right in running for presidency, but Judge Kalthoum Kannou has recently made history as the first female presidential candidate in modern-day Tunisia, marking yet another milestone for the “cradle” of the Arab Spring country.

A judge in the Court of Cassation, the highest court in the Tunisian judiciary system chiefly responsible for verifying the interpretation of the law, Kannou is Tunisia’s first woman to seek a post higher than that of a parliamentarian.

Aiming to be the world’s first “Tunisian, Arab, Muslim, female president,” Kannou was able to garner more than 15,000 nominations from across the country while fielding her candidacy and is currently touring Tunisia for her electoral campaign competing against 24 men.

Female parliamentary candidates in Tunisia hope the country's impending legislative polls, in which women will account for over half of the registered voters, will improve the image of the role played by women in the nascent democracy.
