Merlisa Determined Langellier is her full name. Born in the Caribbean Islands. The love she has for the arts inspired her to start acting. She says “the challenge of being able to become someone else other than myself and making it as believable as possible, created a fascination within me.”
With a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology, the award winning actress has been involved in movie projects outside that, such as “The Other Side of Love”, ” African Connections”, “The Land”, “As I Die Slowly”, “Page 36″, “Nicki A Hip Hop Love Story” starring alongside Hollywood Actor Clifton Powell. She is currently filming “False Engagements”. After so many nominations from “Nations of Pan African Awards”, “Golden Icon Academy Movie Award” and “Nollywood African Film Critics Awards”., she finally got recognized for her work and has received the USAfrica International Heritage Actress of the year 2012 Award, and the 2012 NAFCA award for Best Docu-Drama In Diaspora Film.
