Must read: This is from my recent traveling experience. After experiencing my entry to and exiting from Abidjan comparing to that of Cameroon, I can say confidently and with all certainty that Cameroon is not safe from Ebola. That is Cameroon is taking no precausion processes in preventing cross-border entry of the virus into the country.
The pictures below show a similar process carried out when entring into Abidjan, Cote d Yvoire. The white apparatus is for testing body temperature; if high (which is a sign of fever), you are pulled to the side and taken for immidiate testing. If not, you are allowed to the next stage which is hand washing with sanitiser. This process, i saw none of from and into Cameroon; which is a shame viewed the amount of money said in the media being spend for the prevention of this virus. All I saw in Douala airport are posters signs illustrating the symtoms and how to prevent it.
So my answer is? where is all that money gone (Read here) and what is Cameroon planning towards the protection of their borders from the entry of this deadly virus plaguing more than five West African countries and eventually puting the rest at greater risk?
Which country are you from? and Is your country doing enough to protect you from the Ebola virus?
