The National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) had a brainstorming session on the premises of Deux-Plateaux. At the invitation of the Ivorian government, the delegation assessed the organization and preparations of the general elections in 2015. The Delegation of NdI was led by former Canadian Prime Minister, Joe Clark who took till the end a series of meetings with stakeholders and institutions involved in the organization of the elections. Here are the positives Mr. Joe Clark noted and had to say;
"We talked a lot with the IEC. And we heard from the President Youssouf Bakayoko experience and lessons learned from past elections. But at the same time, we discussed the possibility of assistance which may improve the organization of the 2015 elections so that they are peaceful and credible. A very positive thing that we also heard is that there will be a general population census and the census will allow the collection of data that will be subsequently exploited for the establishment of a new electoral list. And we think this is a positive development of the electoral process "
