Kadhafi:The real reasons behind the assasination of the ex libyan president Kadhafi...RIP

Oooohh my goodness, if this man had such a vsion for Africa, then he could only have been a target for murder; from this report, he only didnot have a vision but he made it a full mission by launching the first African satellite who was to earned us our independence from the western one. Infact, he had a political spending that was to or rather will drasctically reduce the occidential African monetary gain ; all these spending without asking anything in return. If all this is true... then où va le monde?!!!!!

The western media has its ways of turning african citizens against their own leaders; some with concrete facts and some with extream dubious reasons; not to forget, most often starting with us in the diaspora. We sit in the confort of our bedrooms and have ourselves brainwatched by media conspiracies....Sometimes I really wonder: does Democracy really exist? if so where is it anywhere ? I think it should rather be called Ambiguous-democratic sytems.

The Opportunity Cost Of Tompolo’s Private Jet By Kikiowo Ileowo

For those who haven’t heard, 43 year old ex-militant, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) on Monday 26th August 2013 received his Bombardier SE60 LearJet. The Jet according to aviation sources cost a whopping sum of $13.3 million (N2.12 billion).

The aim of this article is not to rubbish the person of Tompolo, [what is there to rubbish anyway] but to address inter alia; the scenarios that continue to play out in favour of his ilk, institutions and systems that perpetually endeavour to make his likes overnight celebrities. I would also analyse the opportunity cost of his latest toy.

The Man Tompolo
Tompolo was born Government Oweizide Ekpumopolo in 1970 into the family of Chief Thomas Osei Ekpempulo and Mrs Sologha Ekpemupol of Okorenkoko in Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of present Delta State. He attended Edah Primary School, Madagho and Kunpa Primary School, Kunukunuma before later proceeding to National Comprehensive College, Warri where he completed the SSCE in 1993.

Exceeding all expectations, this was an award event to reckon with, from the red carpet moments to the awards show itself, not to forget this was live on Cameroon's national television CRTV .
Stanley Enow performing live at the SONNAH awards
So who went home with arms full of awards and the most smile on the face? The new artist Stanley Enow with his new hit single "hein pere" was well acknowledged by the Cameroon entertainment industry; sweeping the board with two awards: one for best urban artist and the other for artist with the most impact. Also scoring the most awards was the movie Ninah's dowry: best actress, best director, and best film categories all came from it.

Cameroon did not forget Africa as a whole, as the best African actor award went to the Ghanaian  most popular and achieved father of three: Van Vicker.

A big thumbs-up to Akim Macauley; CEO of the SONNAH awards for this amazing initiative and to the SONNAH team in general. From now on, Cameroon talents have a platform and benchmark on which to compete and set their targets for. It is now not only a vision, but a mission to set higher goals for the Cameroon Entertainment Industry; both in the diaspora and domestically. More pictures and winners list  after the cut....
